The Director of IT Operations will be responsible for the strategic direction, development, and management of IT infrastructure services, security, technical support, and operations. This role requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate to ensure reliable performance of IT systems, manage the IT infrastructure and support teams, and drive new technology initiatives.

Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute a strategic plan for the IT infrastructure and operations. Provide leadership and direction to the IT infrastructure team to ensure high performance and effective service delivery.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the IT infrastructure, including public cloud, on-premise data centers, network operations, server operations, and collaboration/conferencing systems.
  • Oversee the cyber security policies, standards, processes, and systems. Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures to ensure the integrity, security, and availability of data and IT services.
  • Ensure disciplined and resilient operation of all IT systems and services, including system performance monitoring, disaster recovery planning, data security, and compliance with IT policies and procedures.
  • Identify and implement new technology solutions and practices to enhance operational efficiency and support the company's growth. Stay abreast of emerging technology trends and evaluate their applicability to SRAM’s goals.
  • Develop and manage the IT infrastructure and operations budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the IT infrastructure and regional technical support teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with IT service providers and vendors to ensure quality service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure systems and infrastructure availability, security, and redundancy across all cloud instances.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing a large and diverse IT environment.
  • Expertise in IT infrastructure technologies (including cloud services, data center operations, networking, cybersecurity), IT operations management, and enterprise architecture.
  • Experience migrating and operating infrastructure services to public cloud hyper-scaler(s) (AWS preferred).
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of IT professionals. Strong strategic planning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing large-scale IT projects and initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of financial management principles as they relate to IT investments and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management and cyber security frameworks.
  • Occasional night and weekend hours required for system implementations and updates.
  • Up to 20% travel including international.
  • Ideally have worked in a manufacturing and or consumer products industry.
