More power

Motive has nearly as much power as our World Cup DH and Red Bull Rampage winning brake, Code. Logically illogical, Motive helps riders go faster with more power for more control.

Less weight

Motive is the lightest weight heavy duty brake we’ve ever made. Because light weight shouldn’t come at the expense of power. And power shouldn’t come at the expense of weight.

Power to tune.

A “light weight” brake with this much power gives you surplus to tune up or down. Think of it like volume. You might want to max it out and listen at full power, or turn it down and enjoy subtlety and precision. More available power gives you more options.

200mm, 180mm, and 160mm SRAM HS2 rotors

Motive has power in surplus. 20mm rotor size jumps increase or decrease power by 14%.

SRAM HS2, SRAM Centerline, and SRAM Centerline X rotors

HS2 rotors offer 7% more stopping power and heat management per rotor size than CenterLine. And for the lightest weight build, CenterLine X rotors have a gram-saving aluminum carrier.

SRAM Motive organic brake pad

Organic brake pads offer a strong initial bite and less overall noise. For riders who brake hard and sharp to control speed, go organic. The preferred feel of the world’s best World Cup XC racers.

SRAM Motive sintered brake pad

Sintered brake pads have more resistance to sustained heat and offer better performance in wet or muddy conditions. For massive, sustained descents that require long intense braking.

It starts with seals

Motive’s caliper-piston seals use a proprietary material that retains its properties to maintain air-tight sealing regardless of extreme braking heat or low atmospheric temperatures. These remarkable heat-tolerant seals also enable Motive to overcome all past weakness associated with mineral oil, and leverage all of its strengths. A consistent feel for speed and control, uphill and down.
