Overview


In our San Luis Obispo location, perform testing independently on product samples, provide accurate test data and maintain laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities


  • Execute test set up and execution accurately and independently.
  • Analyze and interpret test samples and test results and provide accurate data to test requestors in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Partner with Test Operations Manager, Test Technicians, Test Development Engineers and Design Engineers and interact professionally with test requesters to provide best-in-class testing process.
  • Organize and maintain lab space, equipment, tools, and supplies using 5S methodology and Lean principles.
  • Execute Preventive Maintenance accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Identify and support upgrades and improvements on Test Equipment and assist Test development.
  • Actively identify, suggest, and implement improvements for test lab processes and equipment through the application of Lean principles and proper engineering practices.
  • Contribute to improve test operations efficiency and effectiveness.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
  • This role is located in San Luis Obispo, CA and non-local candidates will be expected to relocate.

Qualifications


  • 2 Year Technical Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to follow written procedures.
  • Proficient with Microsoft.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to ride a bicycle, operate test fixtures, and lift 50 Ibs as needed.
  • The benefits of this position include group health insurance including medical, dental, vision, and ancillary plans. As well as 401k match, life insurance, long-term disability, and paid time off. Starting salary is $50,000 +30% based on skills and experience level. This position is eligible for an annual corporate bonus based on company and individual performance.
