Lorena Wiebes is the first woman to win Milano-Sanremo in 20 years, a historic win for the opening Monument of the 2025 racing season. The SD Worx - Protime rider claimed her victory after an exhilarating sprint to the finish line, with Marianne Vos of Team Visma | Lease a Bike just behind securing second place. Wiebes' teammate, Lotte Kopecky, chased an attack launched after the Poggio descent thus prompting Wiebes to surge past riders in the last few meters to take the crown. This title is one of Wiebes' biggest victories of her overall career, and it marks her fourth victory of the season.
