SRAM’s first major road victory of 2020 came at The Santos Women’s Tour Down Under, the annual Australian kick-off to the season, by way of reigning US National Road Champion Ruth Winder (Trek-Segafredo). Winder took the leader’s ochre jersey after her uphill sprint victory on Stage 3, and then hung on in a hard fought final Stage 4 battle for intermediate time bonuses. Winder rode both the Trek Emonda and Madone, each equipped with SRAM RED eTap AXS HRD.

The GC victory capped off an incredibly successful race for the Trek-Segafredo squad. Lotta Henttala took a strong second place on Stage 1, and Winder sprinted to second on Stage 2 before her big breakthrough on Stage 3. With so many bonus seconds up for grabs, it was a full team effort to control the peloton and secure the jersey on a fast Stage 4 circuit.
