IS YOUR GEARING RIGHT FOR YOU?
RIDE REPORTS WITH AXS WEB
AXS Web takes gearing data collected from your bike computer and makes it digestible. You can see what gears you’re using and how often. You can even trim specific segments of a ride to analyze deeper. If you see you’re not using your full gear range, or are biased toward one end, you can use the data to change up your gearing.

AXS Gearing
A complete bike has gearing that’s thoughtfully chosen for its intended use, but with eight different cassette and twelve chainring options, there’s always opportunity to personalize to your needs. If you want a larger or smaller chainring or cassette, that’s a possibility. You can even mix and match parts from different series, from Rival to RED. Want to add some flash to your Force? Grab a rainbow cassette and chain from RED. Or stay in budget on your wear items by subbing in Rival.
2x Gearing
X-Range gearing is designed to maximize efficiency, keeping you in the big ring longer and minimizing cadence disruptions while shifting. Our 2x chainring combos, 43/30, 46/33, 48/35 and 50/37, feature 13T jumps between rings to keep your pedal stroke smooth. With your 36T MAX rear derailleur, you have the option of 28T, 30T, 33T, and 36T cassettes, all compatible with any chainring combo. The 10-36 cassette offers the biggest gear range available for a 2x drivetrain, while the 10-28 has seven consecutive one-tooth jumps between cogs for those who want to keep their cadence consistent.

1x Gearing
Single chainring, or 1x, drivetrains are perfect for many disciplines, and we offer three compatible derailleur choices. Each derailleur will have a listed maximum compatible cog but will work with multiple cassette sizes.
36T MAX
Our classic derailleur is both 2x and 1x compatible. Cyclocross racers choose 1x with a 10-33T or 10-36T cassette, mated to a chainring between 38T and 44T. Many criterium and triathlon specialists choose a 10-30T or 10-33T cassette with ring sizes from 48T to 54T.
XPLR
The gravel sweet spot, our XPLR rear derailleur is compatible with 10-44T and 10-36T cassettes, with the majority of folks choosing the blend of big range and tight jumps offered by the 10-44T. It’s ideal for long days on multiple surfaces.

TECH TIP: When using an Eagle AXS rear derailleur, you must also use an Eagle cassette and chain. Force AXS derailleurs must use a Flattop chain and a road cassette compatible with the listed range.
