No amount of mountaintop mist and fog could keep Demi Vollering from seeing yellow atop the Tourmalet at the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. She simply could not be stopped on Stage 7's summit finish and on her way to the Maillot Jaune. Once she climbed into the overall lead, there was no looking back. Last year's TDFF runner-up, Vollering made her dreams come true with a top-step triumph this time. Joining her on the General Classification podium were teammate Lotte Kopecky and fellow SRAM athlete Kasia Niewiadoma to complete the SRAM sweep.

When Vollering attacked on the steepest part of the famed and final Pyrenees climb of the queen stage, she disappeared into the fog with limited visibility but a very clear advantage. She blasted to the summit to win the stage on Saturday and sealed the overall win on Sunday with more than a three-minute margin for her first-ever grand tour title.

Lotte Kopecky of Team SD Worx spent a week in the Maillot Jaune before passing it along to her teammate. However, she never let go of the green jersey after grabbing it with her Stage 1 win. She capped off the best week of her career thus far by claiming crucial seconds in the final stage time trial to secure the second step on the overall podium.

Kasia Niewiadoma of CANYON//SRAM Racing put on a polka dot-worthy display of skill in Stage 7 when she descended the Col d’Aspin with unstoppable prowess. Her gamble to create a gap ahead of the Tourmalet paid off in polka dots, earning her the Queen of the Mountain title and third in the GC.

Not only did SRAM athletes sweep the GC podium, but they also won seven of eight stages:

  • Lotte Kopecky (Team SD Worx) - Stage 1
  • Liane Lippert (Movistar Team) - Stage 2
  • Lorena Wiebes (Team SD Worx)  - Stage 3
  • Ricarda Bauernfeind (CANYON//SRAM Racing) - Stage 5
  • Emma Norsgaard (Movistar Team) - Stage 6
  • Demi Vollering (Team SD Worx) - Stage 7
  • Marlen Reusser (Team SD Worx) - Stage 8

With Team SD Worx riders taking the top stop in half the individual stages and donning both the yellow and green jerseys in the end, it came as no surprise that they also won the team classification.
