Annemiek van Vleuten wins her fourth and final Giro Donne
The highlight reel of Annemiek van Vleuten's 16-year career continues to grow in her final season, as the Movistar Team legend added another Giro Donne win to her evergrowing list of accolades. The Maglia Rosa is hers for the fourth time, marking her second Grand Tour of 2023.
Led by van Vleuten, Movistar was named the Best Team at the Giro, claiming their 19th Grand Tour to become the most decorated team in the current women's peloton.
Joining van Vleuten on the General Classification podium was Gaia Realini of Lidl-Trek in 3rd. The 22-year-old also earned the Best Young Rider and Best Italian Rider jerseys.
In addition to the GC podiums, three stage victories went to van Vleuten, as she and several other SRAM athletes took the top step in seven of eight stages.
